Rock4 is a Dutch a capella group that adapts well-known and less well-known pop and rock songs in a masterly way and combines them into a varied and fascinating show, without musical instruments ever being missed.
With a good deal of humour they present an array of carefully arranged, colourful songs in which the four male voices beautifully complement each other: Nico Jacobs’ deep bass, Luc Nelissen’s sheer endless variation of grooves, Peter Weltens’ sensitive second part, and - last but not least - Luc Devens’ impressive solos.
Rock4 has built up an impressive record in just five years: they can boast a number of appearances on national radio and television, performances in theatres both at home and abroad, and performances at music festivals all over Europe, for example in Munich, Berlin, Barcelona, Graz, Vienna, Kiev and Montreux. Their greatest strength is formed by their extraordinary musical arrangements: in 2003, the arrangement of Alanis Morissette’s Uninvited won them the prestigious CARA Award.
After having toured Europe very successfully with their Queen show “A Night at the Opera” and their vocal rock show “Timeless”, the four men are now taking on a new challenge: music from Sting and The Police.
The new theatre show by these vocal artists is entirely devoted to this singer and his legendary band. The show will not only feature famous songs like “Every breath you take”, “Spirits in the material world”, “Roxanne” and “Set them free”, but also exciting new arrangements of lesser known work, such as “Regatta de Blanc”, “Desert rose” and “I burn for you”.
Rock4’s unmistakable style, which has won them international recognition over the last few years, is bound to surprise and move the audience. They introduce rock and pop music into the theatre in their own personal way. Every note, every sound enhances the music, making “Bring on the Night” a really intense experience, for the singers as well as the audience. Read more on Last.fm.
