redlikeyou was a band from Venice, CA formed in 2002. They played a handful of shows around the greater Los Angeles area. The band was formed as a hardcore/pop punk style band. The music was written by Kevin Cooks and David Kitz. This version of the band played two shows, one at a music store in Westwood Village near UCLA, the other at The Avalon in a battle of the bands. With the decision to rework the band and scrap the songs for a new "melodic hardcore" direction members were kicked out and new ones were invited. New songs were written by Kevin Crooks, David Kitz, Grant Goddard and Jon Weisberg. This version of the band was the one most shows were played as. Their demo was recorded by Rolly from the band Fallen Angel in 2003. The band ultimately fell apart when guitarist/vocalist Jon Weisberg left to join From First to Last.
