Pulp Victim is an alias used by the successful Dutch trance artist Ferry Corsten. Pulp Victim is most famous for the hit single The World, which was initially released in 1998 and can be found on many compilation albums.
Using his Pulp Victim alias, Corsten is known to have composed six tracks: Dreams Last For Long, The World, I'm Losing Control, Another World, Mind Over Matter and Never.
Please note that I'm Losing Control was a limited vinyl-only release, whereas Another World and Mind Over Matter were used as B-Sides and are very hard to locate. The final track, Never, is aptly named, as it was never released on any format, although it can be legally downloaded from Beatport.
Dreams Last For Long was the first Pulp Victim release, signed to Jive Records in 1997. The World soon followed, and such was its popularity that a 6 track Maxi CD Single re-release followed one year later with special remixes from Lange and DJ Quicksilver among others. As another sign of the track's enduring popularity within the trance community, The World was also remixed in 2004 by Greg Murray.
Pulp Victim has also provided remixes for: Top Cat - Chicago, The Space Brothers - Forgiven (I Feel Your Love), De Bos - Chase and De Bos - On The Run.
Since the turn of the Millennium, Ferry Corsten has seemingly stopped using his Pulp Victim alias, and is now concentrating on releasing music under his own name, and also in the System F guise. Read more on Last.fm.
