"PUEBLO NUEVO" GROUP Born in May 1975, in Quito, in the Faculty of Medicine of the Central University of Ecuador, attracted by the new current of Latin American Singing. They begin to run first in the country, and then abroad, carrying the message of the social song, the works of continental singer-songwriters, own creations and continental folklore. Its name originates from a small town in the Province of Loja, in whose capital, and in the San Sebastián neighborhood, most of its current and former members were born. Twenty full-length albums and eighteen compact discs, and several shared ones, are the testimony of a current work, which has been expressed in different scenarios of Spain, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Holland, Ukraine, Venezuela, Panama, Cuba, Colombia , Peru, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Mexico, Chile and the US, in addition to having traveled Ecuador in all its latitudes in more than two thousand concerts. Thirty-five singers and musicians have gone through the group, each leaving an imperishable mark of talent and will. His current work after thirty-three years on the road, synthesizes a fusion between the Andean instruments, winds, strings, percussion and electronic that accompany a vocal trio on topics ranging from folklore to the bolero, passing through the themes of own authorship and the classics of the new Latin American song. In 2005, the group celebrated its 30th anniversary touring the country providing more than thirty concerts, in March they toured Spain and Italy, and on their return, presented 4 concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra, at the Sucre National Theater with full complete. This same one was also performed in Cuenca and Loja, together with the Symphony Orchestras of those cities. In 2006, he was at the concerts with Pablo Milanes, Víctor Heredia and Piero, he was also in Cuba, participating in the ALL LAS VOCES festival ALL, representing Ecuador. I also finish recording a new album titled MACONDO, which contains new songs and some classics of the Latin American song. In 2007 the group presented a concert with Luis Eduardo Aute and Pedro Aznar and also performed in August at the OAS Aztec Garden, in Washington, and in September, at the Madrid Amusement Park, at Festivals organized by groups of Ecuadorians Then he was in October in Chile, on the occasion of the Ibero-American summit, presenting 5 recitals, in several cities of that country. For 2008, Pueblo Nuevo prepares new recitals in Ecuador, as well as in some countries, and also the launch of a new record work. .
