Powerhawk is Penn State student Phil Zona (born June 4, 1990). Coming from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Powerhawk began making electronica, remixes and mashups his junior year of high school under various names, including The Water Machine Soul Harvester, Metatron, and Phil Philthy Rich. Heavily influenced by artists such as Girl Talk, Milkman, and E-603, he began work on his debut album Ear Canal in late August 2010 and released a seven song demo two weeks later. The finished album was released for free download on his Facebook page on November 11, 2010. He continues to produce new material and is currently planning two upcoming albums, one in the same vein as Ear Canal, and the other a collaboration effort with fellow mashup artist Mashwell. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Powerhawk">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
