Taking cues from shoegaze heroes Loop and Spacemen 3, Parastatic root regulus, Neil and Jon, with their dual guitar hypnosis found Richard, who brought the surging beat rhythms and melodies with synthesized handwriting integration. And so, in November 2011, Parastatic became six legs; a krautedelic ant that laid low in its damp basement, emerging sporadically to air the fruits of their labour.
The game press labelled these fruits ‘an aura of shoegazey-goodness’ and ‘trance inducing’.
The BBC Introgeneral, Tom Robinson cried last single – Far Beyond – to be “A Bangin Tune!”
Parastatic were gladdened but not wholly satisfied, so the ant went back to the basement!
Lost Highway presents an aural soundtrack via spacerock, a dance beat cabal, softened by an aura of psychedelic overtones. The result is fortified, mutually electroloud and jizzed up by the motorik artistry of Krautrock, influenced and beguiled by the likes of Loop, Spacemen 3, Neu!, Spiritualized, Holy Fuck, 65 days of Static , Orbital and much much more musically and beyond. Read more on Last.fm.
