Although Orryelle Defenestrate Bascule is a prolific esoterotic artist working in multiple media, he is perhaps best known for founding the HermAphroditic ChAOrder of the Silver Dusk (formerly the Order of Chaos). He is a member of the IOT (the Pact), is a member of the Horus-Maat Lodge, and is the Australian ambassador of The Dionysian Underground. He has written a number of books, created a respected tarot deck, and has channeled several dual-current works: Pennae-Ultim-Atum and the Book of Going Back by Night. His own works include his (as-yet-incomplete) Tela Quadrivium, consisting of Conjunctio, Coagula, and Solve. The fourth volume will be available soon from Fulgur press. Of the HermAphroditic ChAOrder of the Silver Dusk, Orryelle states, “with its emphasis on ART (in all its diverse forms) as the prime menstruum of Magick, The Silver Dusk are one of the major heirs of [Austin sman Opare’s] Zos Kia Kultus.” Orryelle’s musical work is just one expression of his multifaceted talent and creativity, as well as magickal practice. His music has been described as a combination of ritual and folk music. Often playing his violin, Orryelle has performed literally all over the world, including a series of global ventures and performances in some of the most sacred spots on the globe, among them Mount Shasta; Lake Titicaca; Uluru, in Central Australia; Glastonbury; Giza; Saqqara; and Mount Cook. He is a member of Australia’s Metamorphic Ritual Theatre Co., the performances of which are intended as transformative rituals and not mere entertainment. He is also a moving force behind Inspiralink Multimedia Press.
