Obelisco is one of the emerging bands of the Montevidean underground. They make energetic music with tense moments and heavy riffs, combined with melancholic atmospheres. This mood becomes contagious in their live shows, where moments of contemplation and catharsis are experienced in equal measure. They are characterized by mixing genres such as emo, hardcore punk, shoegaze and alternative rock.
