Nurja (Joensuu, Finland) was formed in the late autumn 2007 when female vocals and dark guitar melodies collided. When a dark toned piano, vigorous drums and dream-like bass was added to the band, the music took a darker and more melancholic direction. Nurja creates strong feelings with ultimate tones. By their name, distortions and broken harmonies belong to the sound of Nurja. --- Nurja (Hyvinkää, Finland) was formed in the autumn 2008 by a group of friends from the choir of Hyvinkään yhteiskoulun lukio to arrange a charity concert. After throwing various gigs their first album was recorded in march 2010.
