NUKLI are psychedelic, progressive, space rock veterans of the golden age of free festivals from Hackney, London, United Kingdom. A time when bands were free to experiment with long flowing improvisations, developing a sound that matched the state of mind of the audience: spaced out! They started as a space punk band PSi in 1980 and seen on many stages at the Stonehenge Free festival, mutating over the years, first into PSi NUKLI, with NUKLI eventually spinning off in 1990 to follow a path that eventually led to the landmark The Time Factory release on Delerium records in 1997. Live, NUKLI established themselves as firm favourites on the psychedelic circuit, appearing many times at Club Dog, London and the Sonic Relief gigs, as well as playing at many a squat party and benefit gig. The band took a sabbatical throughout most of the nineties, to work on the Hex Projekta ambient dub act, producing two albums and playing live at clubs Luv'd Up and Deliverance and on the bill with luminaries such as Alex Paterson and Zion Train. Now NUKLI are back, and sounding better than ever. With full on psychedelic grooves, and soaring guitar, they take you on a trip back to the Pyramid Stage, the Tibetan's and Club Dog all rolled into one cosmic jam.
