The Next Best Thing are a reggae band from Burlington Ontario. They began playing in 1999, and shortly after released their first album, Skattack. They quickly moved on from the simple ska-punk sound of their sophomore album with Suburban Dub Syndicate, released in early 2003. The album showed a greater maturity, as the band mixed together reggae, dub, rap and R&B, along with their old ska and punk influences. Their latest effort, Working Machine, shows the band really coming into their own sound, with a much more mellow feeling, and even some jazz influencess creeping in. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Next+Best+Thing">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
