Mortified Mortician was founded in early 2012 by Kyle Castronovo (Rhythm/Lead Guitar) and Matt Jefferson (Vocals) when Castronovo, struck by inspiration, demoed roughly a dozen songs in only 2 days. He and Jefferson met doing various studio work together, during which the two learned they shared much in common, both musically and personally. Soon after, Mortified Mortician was born. The project instantly gained interest from Deen Castronovo. Enough so, that he decided to join the band, drumming on studio efforts, and playing live shows whenever his schedule will allow. (Deen currently drums for Journey, and has also drummed for Ozzy Ozzbourne, Social Distortion, and many others). The band's sound and feel have been compared to such acts as Marilyn Manson, Murderdolls, Rob Zombie, American Head Charge, and Slipknot. Maintaining a dark shade of humor, they create their music and art freely with minimal filters or "rules" as to how they should do it. In July of 2012 Mortified Mortician unveiled their first single online, “Putting The Fun In Funeral“. Their debut full length album titled "The Dearly Disgusted, currently it's finalizing stages, is slated for release winter 2013/2014.
