There are multiple artists with this name: 1) Morthond was a dark ambient act with neoclassical elements from Sweden, formed in 1990 by Benny Jonas Nilsen. In 1992, after releasing "Spindrift", the spelling of the name was changed to Morthound. BJ Nilsen is now involved with the project Hazard. Although Morthond covers a variety of dark ambient styles, he also has a variety of experimental moments. 2) Morthond is a black metal band from the United States, whose only member is Thorstadt, with lyrical themes dealing with paganism and depression.
