In 2009, singer and guitarist Iain Blakemore embarked upon a solo song writing project. However, upon hearing the sharp tones of bassist Nena Kay the band were reborn as the Glasgow based rock/indie/alternative band Monofly. To date, Monofly have released three self-financed E.Ps ‘Hold On’, ‘Northern Skies’, ‘Darker Days’ and the most recent 'Glasgow Touch/Homeward E.P’ which is available at most online store from Monday 23 July 2012. 'Glasgow Touch' is the hit thats in the USA with regular airplay in Hawaii, Florida, California, Nevada and Pennsylvania at present and rising! Having played in many of Glasgow’s great venues such as Maggie Mays, Box and Nice ‘n’ Sleazys’, the band have already broadened their horizons and been out on a Mini -Tour in the summer of 2012, playing some of the major cities in the UK (London, Manchester, Skelmersdale, Edinburgh and Glasgow) to promote the newest E.P. The band returned to the Glasgow Music Scene on the 1st of February at The Buff Club after being locked in the studio writing new material.
