Mirkelam (born Fergan Mirkelam, May 20, 1966, Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish pop singer, songwriter, and composer. He is best known for his energetic performance style and for popularizing a modern pop sound in Turkey during the 1990s.
Mirkelam gained nationwide fame in 1995 with his debut album Mirkelam, especially through the hit single “Her Gece”, which became iconic thanks to its fast-paced music video featuring the artist running through the streets. This song established him as one of the most distinctive figures of Turkish pop music.
Following his breakthrough, Mirkelam released several studio albums, including Joker (1998), Unutulmaz (2001), Kalbimde Parmak İzin Var (2004), Mutlu Olmak İstiyorum (2006) and Denizin Arka Yüzü (2013).
