There are (at least) 2 artists named Mekado: 1.) MeKaDo (a name formed by combining the three vocalists' first names - Melanie Bender, Kati Karney and Dorkas Kiefer) represented Germany in the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest with the up-tempo "Wir geben 'ne Party", translated into English as "We're Givin' A Party", as against the more idiomatic "We're Having a Party". 2.) Khalil King, better known by his stage name Mekado, is a rapper and producer coming of of Brooklyn, New York.
