Marti Lynn aka Martha Taylor LaCroix began her musical career in New Orleans, Louisiana as vocalist with the Dick Stabile Orchestra. The late Dick Stabile was former Musical Director for Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis. Her first album--Introducing Marti Lynn--was produced by Wardell Quezergue of 'Mr. Big Stuff' and 'Express Yourself' fame. Her disco version of 'Who Can I Turn To' released in 1979 is still downloaded by disco enthusiasts around Europe. During her time in New Orleans, Lynn sang in the chorus of the New Orleans Opera Company. After moving to Los Angeles she performed in the musical "Get Happy" (based on the works of Harold Arlen--composer of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'to name one of many--She was noted for her rendition of Harold Arlen's 'Happiness is Just a Thing Called Joe' and 'I Never Has Seen Snow.' She envisages her music as a trumpet that will encourage people to overcome loneliness, build lasting relationships and feel spiritual empowerment. Her latest CD is a collection of religious quiet praise songs titled: Seasoned for Fathers.'--a collection of songs paying tribute to Fathers.
