"Loone" is the new name that Noel'le Longhaul, a trans/genderqueer artist from New England, is recording and touring under. The transition into this moniker marks a departure from her earlier improvised folk punk recordings into a more nuanced, considered, and developed sound. While Loone still has elements of the urgent and nervous energy that characterizes Noel'le's participation in the folk-punk band mallory, it diverts that energy into a thinner, whispier, and more spacious and ethereal landscape, bearing the influence of her work with the ambient black metal/screamo project A Cackle or a Coughing Fit.
