London School of Samba (also known as G.R.E.S. Unidos de Londres and LSS) is the UK’s original Samba School based in London, UK with a rich history dating back to 1984. We have taught Samba drumming and dancing to over 26,000 individuals and have performed for over 1.5 million people. In addition to our annual participation in London's Notting Hill Carnival, we also get collaborate with other bands, working with Bombay Bicycle Club on "Always Like This" including a performance at Glastonbury 2010. As a registered charity London School of Samba (LSS) aims to function as an efficient and inspirational voluntary organisation, offering people of all abilities and backgrounds the opportunity to participate in, and develop knowledge and skills of the arts with specific focus on Brazilian Carnival. LSS offers the general public engaging and high energy classes in Samba dancing, drumming, and costume making. Every Sunday evening our expert teachers lead a diverse group made up of all ages and abilities in the wonders of Brazilian carnival arts.
