Last July are a UK based Dark Romantic band. Frequently given the 'Goth' title their sound is drawn from a wide breadth of influences, including New Romantic, Goth, Rock and Industrial. Their songs tell stories of emotion and sorrow, though far from morbid their music remains upbeat with an optimistic edge. Passionate about performing they blend live electronics with dark atmospheres, driving guitars and strong melodic vocals. Initially formed as a two-piece, Last July quickly gained a following after playing to a packed audience at the Resolution Hotel during Whitby Goth Weekend in October 2009, closely followed by a favourable article in Unscene Magazine. After a number of gigs across the country they released their début EP 'Nothing Else But You' gaining welcoming reviews and airplay on internet radio. In 2011 Last July's sound and stage presence increased tenfold with the addition of Nevla (ex-Rome Burns/All living Fear) on guitar. The band went from strength to strength with a string of successful gigs including festival appearances and support slots with some all-time goth greats.The following year saw them embark on recording their first full-length album 'A True Story of a Lie' before going on to increase in number, welcoming new bass player H (ex-Rome Burns) into the fold. A very successful gig on the main stage at Whitby Goth Weekend marked the culmination of their best year to date. 2013 has been a productive year so far with the writing of a new album completed, signing to AF Music in Germany and adding a new member to the live line-up. The year also sees the release of a brand new remix album 'Perceptions' as a precursor to the new studio album due for release in December. As of December 5th, 2014 the band are no longer around....sob...tears.... Vocalist Alixandrea and Synths man Nevia will continue DJ - ing together and Alixandrea now has gone to providing singing lessons via www.crowtoangels.com New addition Guitarist, Sam Morrison has now gone on to do his project 'Ghostlights', an eletronic rock act with power atomosperics provided by vocalist Katrina Andariel.
