LAMP IN TERREN (ランプインテレン / この世の微かな光) were a Japanese rock band formed on October 24th 2006 in Nagasaki, they were signed to JACKMAN RECORDS in 2015 and to A-sketch since their major debut in 2015. They disbanded in December 28th 2021 after drummer Kawaguchi Daiki left the band. 2006 - 2013
Nakahara and Oya, who were in their second year of junior high school at the time, formed the band in 2006. Matsumoto, who was also a classmate of the two, was invited to join. The official anniversary of the band's formation is October 24, 2006.
Later, Oya and the drummer who was in the band at the time left the band due to attending college, and in 2011 Kawaguchi, a friend from their hometown, joined, making the band a three-piece.
In May 2012, the band changed its name to "LAMP IN TERREN". The band name is a play on the Latin word "terra" (star, earth), and means "a faint light in this world".
On July 31, 2013, they held their first self-planned solo concert at the Shimokitazawa CLUB251 live house. Matsumoto decided on it without the consent of the other members. They released the single "Song from BLUESYARD", which was only available at the concert venue.
In December of the same year, they won the MASH FIGHT Vol.2 audition hosted by MASH A&R.
They also won the grand prize at RO69JACK, an amateur artist contest hosted by ROCKIN'ON JAPAN, and appeared on COUNTDOWN JAPAN 13/14.
2014 - 2017
On June 25, 2014, they released their first mini-album "PORTAL HEART" from JACKMAN RECORDS, which was their first album to be distributed nationwide.
On October 23, they announced that they would make their major debut from A-Sketch in January 2015.
On January 14, 2015, they made their major debut with their first album, "Silver Lining," from A-Sketch.
They provided the song "Void" as the theme song for the movie "Fuufu Fuu Nikki," starring Sasaki Kuranosuke and Nagasaku Hiromi, which was released on May 30 of the same year.
They released "Void" on May 20, before the movie was released.
On October 24, Oya, who had been a support guitarist since September, returned to the band as an official member.
On the 30th of the same month, they held their solo tour "BLUESYARD landing probe tour 2015".
They participated in the Spitz tribute album "JUST LIKE HONEY Hachimitsu 20th Anniversary Tribute," released on December 23, with the song "Tongari '95."
On May 3, 2016, they released their first single, "innocence/CARAVEN".
From June to July, they held a solo tour, "GREEN CARAVEN TOUR".
From February 23 to March 12, 2017, they participated in Space Shower TV's "Space Shower Retsuden JAPAN TOUR 2017 10th ANNIVERSARY".
2018 - 2020
On January 19, 2018, they released their first digital single "Flowers and Poets" and began their solo tour "MARCH" on April 7, visiting four cities: Tokyo, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
On the 21st of the same month, Matsumoto Dai (Vo, G) underwent surgery to remove vocal polyps, and the band temporarily suspended activities after the final performance of the solo tour "MARCH" at LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo.
On August 19, they held their first outdoor solo live "ARCH" at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall, marking their return to activities.
On December 5, they released their fourth album "The Naked Blues" and held a national solo tour "BABY STEP" from February to March 2019.
On July 28, 2019, they held a solo concert titled "Moon Child" at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. The concert was broadcast live on Niconico Live Broadcasting.
From November to December, they held a solo tour titled "Blood" at 15 venues across Japan.
On January 13, 2020, they held a solo live show "Bloom" at the Akasaka Mynavi BLITZ in Tokyo. It was held the day before the 5th anniversary of their major debut.
On October 19, they opened their official fan club "Lantangai".
2021
On July 30, 2021, as a project to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the band's formation, the band announced the production of a greatest hits album, "Romantic Egoist," and the holding of a one-man live show, "Branch".
On September 29, Kawaguchi announced that he would be leaving the band at the end of the year.
On December 28, the band ended its activities with the "One-Man Live 'A Dream Of Dreams'" held at LIQUIDROOM in Ebisu, Tokyo. The remaining members started "Enfants".
