La Boum is an Edinburgh-based band led by local guitar ace Tom Salter, who learned his chops from Mali bluesman Ali Farka Toure out in Niafunke, and has somehow managed to blend the vibe with Celtic, Congolese and Caribbean sounds - explosive indeed...
