KOHAR Symphony Orchestra & Choir (frequently known as KOHAR) was formed in Gyumri, Armenia, in 1997. KOHAR is the most popular orchestra in its rendition of 'All Time Armenian Favorites', with innovative and revised arrangement and orchestration, which has become the trademark name of its Armenian music and songs. KOHAR comprises of 150 musicians, artists and administrators. It's artistic director and conductor is Maestro Sebouh Abcarian of Cyprus. The aim of KOHAR is to bring joy and pleasure to the Armenian Diaspora, as well as to assist in keeping the Armenian identity and heritage alive through supporting the Armenian teacher, the AYP PEN KIM and wave the flags of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia.
