Kevin Eldon is an actor and writer who has been involved in alternative comedy on television and radio throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
He is best known as an actor for his performances on Lee and Herring's television programme Fist Of Fun, in which he portrayed the character of Simon Quinlank (and Rod Hull in This Morning With Richard Not Judy). However, he has appeared in many other TV and radio projects. These include being a member of the comedy ensembles of Chris Morris (Blue Jam) and Simon Munnery (The League Against Tedium, Simon Munnery's Experimental Half Hour). He also starred in the BBC space station sitcom Hyperdrive and Julia Davis's series Nighty Night.
In addition to being a popular character actor, Eldon is a prolific comedy writer. Recently he appeared in cult TV comedy Look Around You in which he performed the song "Machadaynu". He has also composed and recorded a collection of novelty pop songs, with the intention of using them in a TV series, which has yet to be commissioned. This collection includes the euro-pop pastiche, "Mobile Phone"
Counted among the most popular of his solo projects is Speakers, a 6-part series of 15-minute comedy monologues, recorded for London's Resonance FM. Read more on Last.fm.
