Wakakusa Kei (若草恵), born 1949.02.10 in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese composer and arranger. His real name is Saitô Tôru (斉藤徹). During his time in Japanese Middle and High School, he engaged in various music activities, such as playing in a brass band. After studying classical music under his teacher Hayashi Meiko, Wakakusa studied Jazz music at the Yamaha Sound Foundation under guidance of Watanabe Sadao. During this time he started composing his own music, mostly for television and radio commercials.
