Kareyce Fotso was born in the Bamiléké region et was raised among the Béti people. After successfully completing her studies in chemistry and audio media, she decided to go back to her real passion: singing. She started performing in the clubs of Yaoundé, Cameroun and became backing vocalist. Within the group Korongo Jam d’Erik Aliana, her stage presence and her exceptional voice are quickly noticed. While in France for a residency ("Visa pour la création"), she worked under the artistic direction of François Kokelaere, who used to manage the National Ensemble of Guinean Percussions and Guinean band Wofa which has toured worldwide.
