Jeremy Inkel was a Canadian electronic musician based in Vancouver. He was best known as a keyboard player and programmer for Left Spine Down and electro-industrial band Front Line Assembly as well as producing tracks for various well known musicians worldwide. He began his work with Left spine Down in 2003 when he replaced original member Frank Valoczy. Jeremy Inkel was a Canadian electronic musician based in Vancouver. He was best known as a keyboard player and programmer for Left Spine Down and electro-industrial band Front Line Assembly as well as producing tracks for various well known musicians worldwide. He began his work with Left spine Down in 2003 when he replaced original member Frank Valoczy. He was invited into Front Line Assembly in 2005 and made his first contributions to their 2006 album Artificial Soldier. He also made contributions to Front Line Assembly side-projects Noise Unit and Delerium. Inkel died from complications with asthma at the age of 34 on January 11, 2018. In early 2003 he began working with/apprenticing with well known producer/engineer Chris Peterson (Delerium,Front Line Assembly, Decree,Will) which led to him to working on the Noise Unit album Voyeur in 2005, along with industrial legend (ex Skinny Puppy) Bill Leeb of Front Line Assembly and Delirium . Jeremy co-wrote and did the arrangements for the track "Illicit Dreams" as well as the song monolith. Monolith also featured Ministry's Michael Balch.. Noise Unit's Voyeur hit number 4 on the German Alternative Charts in 2005 He also worked with Bill on the "Noise Unit - Don't Get Emotional" remix for the Mindless Self Indulgence straight to video single. In 2005/2006 Jeremy teamed up with Rhys Fulber (Fear Factory, Conjure One, Delirium), Bill Leeb and Chris Peterson, and Co wrote/produced the latest Front Line Assembly album Artificial Soldier, most notably working on keyboards, drum and bass programing and song writing. This eventually led to him joining the band as a new member and touring the USA and Europe and Russia in late 2006, headlining shows and festivals with other bands such as Bauhaus, Nitzer Ebb, and Die Krupps. Artificial Soldier hit number 19 on Billboards top Electronic albums of 2006. Tracks Co written (or additional programing/synths) include Unleashed, Decention, Future Fail (featuring Front 242's Jean-Luc De Meyer) In 2007 Jeremy participated in Front Line Assembly's follow up EP to Artificial Soldier, titled, FALLOUT, creating a remix of Social Enemy, as well as co-witting/producing 2 new tracks, Armageddon, and Unconscious. He continued on with the band to do yet another world tour, Co-headlining the Convergence 13 festival with Skinny Puppy. As well as playing many shows and festivals in Europe and North America with groups like The Bloc Party, The Killers, and Apoptigma Berzerk, Mesh, Portion Control, Mortiis, The Start and Acumen Nation. Jeremy Released an EP with band-mates LEFT SPINE DOWN, titled SMARTBOMB, an aggressive electronic punk rock group, blending heavy electronics and punk rock to create something different.
