Ivanrest is a group of musicians from Hudson, Ohio. They have been a band since 2007 and just recently self-released their first album from their own Narrow Road Records label. Their first single "Worship Everywhere" has been adopted by several churches in Northeast Ohio for their worship services. Marked by punctual rhythms, magnetic melodies and pop rhymes, Ivanrest reaches across many genres and seeks only to give glory and honor to God. Their lyrics are inspired by the truth presented in the Bible and they communicate it through their music to anyone who has ears to hear. The band name originally comes from a street named Ivanrest in Michigan that Brad saw while attending college. It sounded like a good band name...but little did we know that it wasn't actually chosen by us, but provided by God. We found out that the name Ivan is ultimately derived from a Biblical Hebrew name that means "Yahweh is merciful." Additionally, Brad has written some of the songs from dreams he's had (the "rest" part of "Ivanrest")....so it looks like our name had far more meaning than a random street name. Coincidence?
