Inca Taki is a group that performs latinoamerican music. They were formed in 1974 by Maurice Assouline and the Bolivians Jorge Castro and César Espada. Their principal intentions have been to spread Bolivian, Latinoamerican, and their own music.
Inca Taki means Inca's Song, coming from the Inca culture, and the Qechua word Taki which means Song.
In their long career (31 years so far) they've realized presentations in the principal venues of Mexico, for example El Teatro de la Ciudad, Poliforum Cultural Siqueiros, Auditorio Nacional, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Sala Ollin Yolitzli, as well as massive presentations in the Alameda Central, and in several delegations of the City.
Inca Taki represents a real tradition in the difussion of Latinoamerican music, with more than 30 years of musical career, and 7 discographic productions.
