EBM / electro band from Leipzig, Germany. The music project Illusion of Light was started in 1994 from Marco Gahrig as a studio project in the sound of Trance / Techno. 2003 came Julia and Peter to the band. Since this time the three members from Leipzig worked hands in hand to make their „Dark-Electronic-Dance-Musik“. At a band contest in August 2006 in Oschatz IOL got the 3rd place. IOL took part in the European-wide Battle of the Bands (Sonic Seducer) in 2006/2007 and reached among more than 1200 participants the 9th place. Climax of 2007 was a concert in the ARENA of Leipzig to a benefit performance event. At a band competition in 2007 from „Jump radio“ IOL achieved the 2nd place of Alternative music. In 2010 IOL arrived with the song „Ameisenstaat“ the waiting list of the German Alternative Charts and landed with the album „Experimente“ in the German electronic web Charts. Now the new album Skylight is available for free in the Internet. The band thanks for the support and is glad about many Plays.
