There is one artist and one band with the name HYNA: 1) HYNA (aka Keiko Bando), born in Japan in 1988, is a Japanese singer-songwriter. HYNA played piano since the age of 4, and in 1997 began writing and composing music. In the Avex audition a-motion in 2007 her song "My Dream" won out of 4000 participants. After being sent to a major record label, HYNA soon found out that it was not what she envisioned for her music and left to perform at smaller venues in Tokyo and try her own hand at producing music. Her debut single 'TARATIKA' remained her only release as HYNA, until she returned after 10 years with 'GOLDEN DREAM' music video and single in January 7th 2021. The song is inspired by the Olympics that were supposed to be held in Tokyo 2020. Her name comes from "hot girl" from a Hispanic slang term for a Mexican female mostly used by Cholos (gangsters). She performed under the name 'Keiko Bando' before HYNA. 2) HYNA is an Indonesian band that consists of Andri (vocalist), Riza (drummer), Aan (bassist), and Elifas (guitarist).
