The name Hominid can refer to two separate groups 1.) Hominid is also the name of a short lived Brooklyn band. Hominid released a single “Take It Like A” as well as an EP in 2004 called “All Accidental, All the Time.” Hominid also released a split EP with The Affair on Vice Records. The band was made up of Arone Dyer on vocals, Aron Sanchez (more recently a member of Proton Proton) on bass, Ian Savage on guitar, and Ram Gabay on drums. Arone and Aron have now formed the group Buke And Gase. 2.) Hominid was a Thrashcore/youth violence band from Edmonton, AB that existed from Feb 2008-August 2009 they released a couple demos and a split 7'' with friends and sweet thrashcore band War Hero from Squamish BC.
