The Hipshakes, The Last Next Big Thing from England according to Goner Records! Andrew, Daniel and Bruce bought instruments and formed The Hipshakes at the age of 16 and ‘learned’ to play them. Now, 6 years later they are here to unleash ‘songs’ on people. Having been cruelly rejected by most people in their own country they follow the footsteps of the Real Losers and Black Time, off their boring isle to more exciting locations around the Globe. Recently, the Hipshakes have entertained in the USA, Canada, Portugal, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Sardinia and at home in the UK, and now they’re coming to your town! Hopefully… An album and single on American label Slovenly, singles on Goner, Die Slaughterhaus, Tic Tac Totally and Show and Tell, and European Fistful of Records are soon to be followed up with newies on Slovenly, Rob’s House, Red Lounge and Shake Your Ass / Menotropic allowing you to recreate the magic in your living rooms. Todd Killings off Victim Of Time says their crap is “done with a careless finesse that always reminds you that it's so much harder than it sounds to make this kind of masterpiece. Three kids with time to waste, beer to drink, and faces to smash…, these guys are indeed doing exactly what they were put on earth to do, and on that note, all we need is MORE!” If you enjoy loud, sloppy, furious, catchy, stupid rock and roll then hooray for Hipshakes! Andrew plays bass and sings, Daniel plays guitar and sings, and Bruce hits the drums and entertains. Excitement from performances often spills over, and you’ll no doubt be pleased to hear all three Hipshakes enjoy partying in the aftermath of a show. Bruce is perhaps blessed with an extra special gift. He has puked (a lot), thrown tour managers through tables, passed out at girls’ feet, dropped many a glass and has been arrested, all in his unquenchable thirst for fun!
