HENK is the life work of Quinten Meiresonne, but most importantly HENK is a band. A band that makes music that has been in Quinten's mind for years. Rough around the edges pop songs. Songs that stand on the toes of The Stones, while apologizing to Dylan and Bowie. HENK is a band with musicians from Son Mieux, WOOT, The Deaf, The Silverfaces and Taymir. And HENK is a band that you want to hear. After an eventful period in which the Quinten Meiresonne (22, The Hague) toured the Netherlands with Taymir and played shows at one of the largest festivals of the country (Pinkpop, Paaspop, Down The Rabbit Hole), selling out club shows in Germany and even playing the American showcase festival SXSW, a new door opened in 2018. It was time for something new. A project of his own, in which he could create and operate without limit. This he found in HENK. The life work of the 22-year-old musician is one that is going to be indispensable in the record collection of the seasoned music lover, one that loves a classic pop song and anyone with a craving for hard hitting melodies. For this band, a perfect group of ambitious musicians was sought who give the band the form it deserves.
