Heavyball are a hard rocking indie/ska band based in London. Formed in late 2011 when Nottingham brothers Matt and Habs Salisbury and school friend Johnny Iball, began to play together. The band's sound is impertinant indie with a cheeky nod to ska. Influences include The Kingsmen, Jimmy Cliff and Fleetwood Mac. Heavyball’s first EP, Small Town Hero, recorded by producer Dave Creffield (Embrace, James), was released in June 2012 and recieved BBC airplay across the country. Heavyball have just come back from the studio after recording their second EP (released December 2012) and will be touring the UK in the New Year.
