Half Church who had an untitled 5 song EP recorded in 1980-81. The vocalist, Tom 'Jinks' Durkan moved from Shepherd's Bush, London to Palo Alto, California, where the band was formed. The record was recorded back in London, UK, though the label it appeared on was Win Records in Mountain View, California, USA. I think this record is a top-tier post-punk release. It's got everything from classic Gang-of-Four style funk-punk ("TV Screen") to doomy apocalyptic stuff like "Red Planes". The 5 song EP was rereleased with an additional 5 previously unreleased tracks on Captured Tracks in 2012.
