Guido and Maurizio de Angelis are Italian musicians. The two brothers were born in Rocca di Papa (Italy), Guido in 1944 and Maurizio in 1947. They have composed and sung the music for many films, under the name Oliver Onions. They are most famous for their soundtracks to Terence Hill and Bud Spencer movies. In November 2007, they gave their first concert in 25 years at the Lucca Comics Festival. They began their career playing the guitar, then Maurizio graduated in composition and harmony, while Guido studied flute. So music became their profession: they toured Italy with a group called Black Stones, which was later called G & M. After 1967 they played in orchestras, recording soundtracks for famous soundtrack composers such as Ennio Morricone, Riz Ortolani, Armando Trovaioli and many others. They also made many arrangements for famous Italian singers. Though the songs were sung in English to increase international appeal, their accents often make the lyrics indecipherable to native speakers. We also remind Zorro, Savana Violenta, Sandokan and Il Corsaro Nero. Read more on Last.fm.
