Quitting Iniuria Herrie decided to take up the original LD'50 approach on music: Old school grindcore (in the vein of bands such as: AGATHOCLES, (old) NAPALM DEATH, TERRORIZER, ROT, EXULCERATION)! He asked Micha (drummer Carnal Leftovers) to play on drums and Mathieu (guitarist Departure) to play lead guitar and they agreed to participate in Herrie's quest for old school grindcore. The first rehearsals took place on 28th February 2008. Grindbashers have already done 2 recording sessions at Fredde’s Dirty Bird studio. Herrie Records Inc released the "Songs of suicide, words of death!" mcd and also the Agathocles "Arbeit macht krank!"/ Grindbashers "Mine own redeemer!" split-cd ( including an instrumental track , written and composed by A.J. van Drenth - Beyond Belief). The media’s reactions to our releases were very positive. In May Micha decided to quit playing in Grindbashers and at the moment Maarten is now (temperoraly) playing drums (picture of his ugly face soon, hehe). Grindbasher’s third album (split with OBTUSE) will be released in December 2009. Grindbashers are playing quite a few gigs at the moment and more gigs are planned (see on stage section). We are a a real live band and we promise you 30 minutes of grinding insanity at every gig! So, keep in touch and grind on!
