Greg Koons is an Americana/Indie Rock artist from Harrisburg Pa.(USA) Born to a truckdriver and Vietnam vet, Koons has been playing the guitar and writing songs since the age of fourteen. Upon barely getting through high school, Koons moved to Los Angeles and was a housekeeper at the notorious Chateau Marmont Hotel for two years on the Sunset Strip where he cleaned hotel rooms. During that time period, he would often watch the rich and famous and sneak away to the sixth floor and write songs and look down at lights of LA. Upon eventually moving home to Pennsylvania, he played in a succession of bar bands throughout the East Coast where he was the principle songwriter, most notably the band Bad Cat Friday. His debut solo CD, "Welcome to the Nowhere Motel" is scheduled to be released nationally on Kealon Records this upcoming fall/winter of '08. The CD was recorded at Fireproof Studios in Los Angeles CA and was produced by indie great Matt Keating and Adam Lasus( Yo La Tengo, PJ Harvey,Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.) Read more on Last.fm.
