Grace forward is a five-piece Indonesian metal hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia. formed in 2007. Grace forward has grown consistently and brings a new and heavy blend of hardcore and metal to the local metal scene. With a new and refreshing attitude to modern metal that is certain to take the music scene by storm. The original line up established in March 2007 under the name God forsaken, they change their name afterwards. Consisted of a group of open minded individuals, who’s only goal was to write punishing tracks, deliver an astounding live performance, and portray a good image with a new message of positive thinking and good morals. Grace Forward started as a Metalcore group, and evolved into a predominantly Metal sound. They began their careers by non stop touring, booking their own tours, and self producing their own materials. Grace Forward is categorized by their extreme sound. Their sound is centered around their well-timed drum beats and dueling down tuned guitars. The bands lyrical content has often been controversial, containing thoughts on daily life issues. The band have their sound firmly rooted in Metalcore and Deathcore. The band is well respected among local metal scene through it’s consistent and razor sharp poetic lyrics, along with abstract rhymes wrapped in experimental beats with dark spectrum.
