Gothic Metal band infused with heavy S&M and bondage imagery. The group, which featured former members of NOTRE DAME and CADAVARES ATERCIOPELADOS, debuted a year after their formation with the 1989 7” single ‘El Frenesi’. This would be novelly followed up in 1992 by a conceptual video which included live footage. The ‘Ritualis Mortis’ album would be a split affair shared with another Spanish act. ‘Ritualis Mortis’ saw the band with a line up of Lord Gothic on vocals and guitar, Lady Gothic on vocals and drums and keyboard player Madame Morgue. The follow up ‘Divided We Fall’ introduced Averno on bass and had GOTHIC SEX acting as tour support to Germany’s UMBRA ET IMAGO for dates in Belgium. The band’s succinctly titled ‘Death’ tour that year would provoke strong media response as GOTHIC SEX re-enacted scenes of flagellation, sado-masochism and bondage onstage. The outrage did not end there though as the stages would be awash with genuine blood, entrails and animal heads. Following 1996’s ‘Moonrise’ record GOTHIC SEX went on tour with Lord and Lady Gothic aided by guitarist Metal Storm and bassist Dr. Van Hellsing. Further tour work, to promote the 1997 offering ‘Laments’, had Lord & Lady Gothic joined by guitarist Metal Storm once again with Paimon on drums.
