Good Kid is a five-member indie rock band from Toronto, Ontario. The band consists of Nick Frosst as the lead vocalist, Jon Kereliuk as the drummer, Michael Kozakov as the bassist, and David Wood and Jacob Tsafatinos as guitarists. Their mascot, Nomu Kid, is prominently featured in their marketing and social media. They released their first single, Nomu in October 2015, introducing Nomu Kid. Over the next few years, they released more singles, eventually releasing their debut EP - Good Kid - in June of 2018. They started releasing more singles soon after, releasing their second EP - Good Kid 2 - in late 2020. Around the same time, the band gained popularity through the use of their music on Fortnite streams. The band released their music DMCA-free so that it could be used in streams, and multiple of their songs have since been added into the game. In December 2020, the band released an album featuring 8-bit versions of their EPs alongside a game called ‘Ghost King’s Revenge’. Over the next few years, the band released four more singles from their upcoming EP including fan favourites such as ‘No Time to Explain’ in September 2022 and ‘Mimi’s Delivery Service’ in March 2023. They released their third EP - Good Kid 3 the next month, whereas Ground (a bonus track from the vinyl release of the EP) was released as a separate single in October of 2023. In November of 2023, Good Kid released a cover of Laufey’s From The Start. The song is currently the most listened to Good Kid song of all time, with nearly 300,000 listeners on Last.fm, and was the first of four singles released for Good Kid 4, which was released in March of 2024. Later that year, in September, they released an acoustic EP (Acoustic Kid) featuring acoustic versions of songs across their catalogue, as well as a collaboration with Loupe. In October of 2025, the band released a single called ‘Wall’, closely followed by ‘Rift’ in November.
