Asa Asuncion (popularly known as Gleesh or Yung Gleesh) was born in 1989. He grew up in Washington, D.C. and before becoming a rapper, he was a percussionist in TOB, a go-go band he co-founded. The Washington D.C. based artist has worked with Gucci Mane, Chief Keef, Fredo Santana, Yung Lean, A$AP Mob, Playboi Carti and Fat Trel among others. His name rose to larger heights through the release of several mixtapes showcasing his dark and sometimes comedic style of street rap.
