Nino Arobelidze aka Girl Named Nino is a Georgian born songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Chicago. Nino received her formal music education from DePaul University but maintains the core of her knowledge to be largely DIY. Dubbed "Ever-evolving"(Richard Milne, 93XRT Local Anesthetic), "Rising Star of Indie, Soul, World Music and Jazz"(Daily Herald), Nino's become an artist to watch in her adapted city of Chicago- "Remember that name...It may be a safe bet that Nino Arobelidze is a name that you’ll hear a lot more going forward" (Robert Chiarito, The Chicago Ambassador). Nino has released three solo albums (Nomad 2014, Girl Named Nino 2016, Moonlight Daughter 2018) and most recently composed original songs for the documentary film, Our Blood is Wine (Music Box Films, Official selection at Berlinale International Film Festival 2018). Her 2018 release is a multi-lingual, genre-fluid record with a alt-soul backbone.
