Former lead singer of South African Band Windpomp, Gerhard Steyn decided to go solo after their breakup. Gerhard co-wrote almost half the songs on his first album called "Teen Die Berg". Besides music Gerhard also put his hand to acting in some of SABC2's well known series like "Sewendelaan (Kosie die lyfwag)" and Frans Marx's series “The Res (Andre die universiteit se rugby kaptein.)".
