Glendale, California, United States (2013 - present) Game Grumps is a YouTube channel hosted by Arin Joseph "Egoraptor" Hanson (born January 6, 1987) and Leigh Daniel "Danny Sexbang" Avidan (born March 14, 1980). The channel was originally hosted by Arin and Jonathan "JonTron" Jafari. Jon left Game Grumps in June 2013 to focus on other projects. Game Grumps play a variety of classic video games while providing commentary and discussing various topics, usually related to the game being played but sometimes completely arbitrary. Since its launch in July 2012, the video channel has cultivated a following of video game enthusiasts, many of whom are long-time subscribers to the two hosts’ personal YouTube channels. One of the recurring motifs throughout the series is the hosts’ tendency to sing out their lines during conversations, some of which have been samples and re-contextualized into electronic dance music and mash-ups with iconic video game songs.
