[Thrash Punk Band] Started in 2006, Fist of the North Star is quickly rising as one of the best know and hardest working punk bands from the music city of Nashville, TN. After over a hundred shows, multiple drummer and guitarist changes, West and East coast tours and numerous opening spots for National touring bands, they have made a name for themselves with a loud, in your face, Thrash Punk sound that stands alone in today's cloned music world. [Anime] Fist of the North Star also known as Hokuto No Ken in Japan was started as a comic book in the early 1980's. It progressed into a 155 episode cartoon series as well as 2 live action films. There have also been recent releases that retell the original stories with new plot twists and higher quality animation. The story follows the main character "Kenshiro" who is the sole successor of the deadly martial art known as the North Star Fist. The setting is a post apocalyptic future where the strong survive by brutality and powerful martial arts as most weaponry like firearms and bombs have been lost to time.
