All songs were written and recorded on the same day in 2006 by m@ the c@. The lyrics are rhythmic poems with little to no meaning, which were recorded to a metronome. The synth and drums were composed later. The songs were created as a self-imposed challenge to make songs based on abstract, but in-tempo vocal recordings. The Bubblegum Octopus song Tree Movies was originally a First Aid Squid, but because the song was made longer after it's completion, it violated the prerequisites of First Aid Squid. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/First+Aid+Squid">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
