UK-based ‘laprock’ trio Fast Lady apparently first formed in 2000 after ‘a night of mirth and mead uptown in Sheffield’, their 2003 debut album The Money Shot going on to be breathlessly described by Muzik as ‘the new, new, new wave of British heavy metal.’ They define their style has: Cocktronica. A combination of cock rock and heavy electronica. A process of painstakingly recreating the sound of a heavy metal rock band with computer based music software. Their debut "The Money Shot" received 3/5 stars in the UK music magazine UNCUT and they went on to play live with Hot Chip and Zodiac Mindwarp as part of the promotion for the album. They return after a 7 year hiatus with an EP of brand new material "Unsheathed & Penetrated" and an album 'WE ATE ROCK' to follow later in 2011.
