Farzona Khurshed (also spelled Farzonai Khurshed, Tajik: Фарзонаи Хуршед) (b. July 11, 1989) is a famous Tajik pop singer.
Farzona was born on July 11, 1989 in Kulob city, Kulob region, Tajikistan, in a family of artists. Her involvement in dancing and singing was facilitated by her family environment; her mother is an actress and singer - Surayyo Qosimova (also spelled Surayo Kasimova), her sister Shabnam Surayo (Tajik: Шабнами Сурайё) is also a singer. Her father, Khurshed Rabiev, was a police officer, she inherited her surname from him.
In 2008, Farzona took part in a musical program for the first time. The pleasant voice of the young singer quickly captivated the audience.
Farzona held a concert program in Moscow, Russia for Tajik migrant workers, which brought both popularity and scrutiny to the singer. A video of Farzona singing and dancing on the club's deck after the concert, surrounded by unrestrained and drunk migrant workers from Tajikistan, went viral on the Internet. Critics condemned the singer because Farzona put herself at the lowest level and danced and sang in front of drunken people. Farzona explained her actions came from patriotism and love for the people of her hometown. According to the singer, she wanted to perform in front of her compatriots who could not attend the singer's concert.
In 2014, with the recording of the music videos "Ashk" and "Lola", the musical compositions "Illahi", "Yoram", and the song "Achajon" in 2015, the number of fans increased. In 2015, Farzona was announced as the best pop singer of Tajikistan at the Big Apple Music Awards 2015 in Hamburg, Germany.
In 2016, Farzona presented Tajikistan at the Big Apple Music Awards in New York. In 2017, Khurshed told the press that she was seriously preparing for the first concert after the birth of her son and was creating musical compositions for mothers and about listening to advice. In January 2017, Farsona sang a new song "Hadai zashtari". In 2017, the singer also presented a new composition and music video for the song "Jovidon".
In 2019, Farzona sang the song of Afghan singer Mehri Maftun (Dari: ميرمفتون) "Kholai aza maza", which was well received by the people.
